This policy applies to the SpectraFrame website, member accounts, film ratings, frameworks, discussions, recommendations, and related features. “SpectraFrame,” “we,” and “the service” refer to the site and its operator.

Account information

When you sign in through Google or a supported ChatGPT/OpenAI identity flow, we receive the verified email address, display name, and any optional profile image made available by that provider. We use the email address to identify, link, secure, and administer the account. It is not displayed publicly.

Profile and community information

We store information you choose to add, including a display name, biography, favorite movie snack, ratings, written reviews, custom frameworks, comments, replies, reactions, CounterFrames, follows, and other contributions.

Private feature data

Watchlists, recommendation dismissals, notification state, saved frameworks, and similar personal controls are associated with your account. They are not intended for public display unless a feature clearly says otherwise.

Security and service records

We process session identifiers, authentication-provider identifiers, request details, rate-limit records, moderation records, and audit logs as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service. We do not store your Google or ChatGPT password.

• Provide accounts, profiles, ratings, recommendations, watchlists, and community features.
• Link supported sign-in methods to one member account and reduce accidental duplicate accounts.
• Personalize recommendation ordering from your reviewing history and saved lenses.
• Moderate contributions, enforce site rules, prevent abuse, and investigate security incidents.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of members and the public.

Your display name, public profile details, ratings, reviews, frameworks, comments, replies, CounterFrames, follower/following counts, and other content you deliberately publish can be seen by visitors and may appear in feeds, search results, film pages, or recommendation explanations.

Do not publish information you want to keep private. Removing an item from your own view does not necessarily remove copies already shared by others, included in an active discussion, preserved for moderation, or cached for a limited period.

Google sign-in requests only basic OpenID profile information: your verified email, name, and optional profile image. SpectraFrame does not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendars, or other Google services. A supported ChatGPT/OpenAI sign-in flow may likewise provide basic account identity needed to authenticate you.

Your use of either provider is also governed by that provider’s own privacy terms.

SpectraFrame uses third-party services to supply film metadata, artwork, discovery candidates, authentication, hosting, and security infrastructure. Requests to those services may include technical information normally transmitted when using a web service. Film information is supplied through The Movie Database (TMDB); SpectraFrame does not send TMDB your private review history as an account profile.

We use cookies and similar browser storage required to keep you signed in, return you to the page you intended to use after authentication, protect forms, remember interface choices, and prevent abuse. Authentication cookies may be signed, time-limited, rotated, or revoked. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account features from working.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers acting for SpectraFrame, when a member directs us to make content public, to comply with lawful process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its members, or others. If control of the service changes, information may transfer with the service subject to this policy and applicable law.

We keep account and contribution data while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, preserve legitimate community context, and meet legal obligations. Members can edit or delete many of their own contributions using the controls provided.

Account deactivation stops member access but may not automatically erase public contributions. Requests to access, correct, deactivate, or delete account information can be made to the site administrator. We may retain limited records or de-identify content where permitted or required by law.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including signed sessions, access controls, server-side authorization, request protection, rate limits, and audit records. No online service can promise absolute security. Keep control of your sign-in provider and notify the site administrator promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

SpectraFrame is not directed to children under 13. You must be old enough to consent to use of an online service where you live, or use the service with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

You can update public profile details, manage watchlist and recommendation choices, and edit or delete supported contributions from your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or an explanation of how personal data is used. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions and identity verification.

We may update this notice as SpectraFrame changes. A revised effective date will appear here, and material changes may also be announced through the service. Privacy and account questions may be directed to the site administrator. A dedicated legal contact address will be published before a broad public launch.
